Attitude talk

Today, Jannah, a worker from Attitude, came to talk to us about friendship. She talked to us about different friendships, what can ruin a friendship, and much more. Lets start things of with what she started with, different friendships.

When she came in, she talked to us about different friendships, which were Girl Girl friendships, Boy Boy friendships, and Girl Boy friendships. Then she talked to us about what can ruin a friendship, which is mean humor, Back stabbing, Smothering, and more.

It was fun to listen to what she had to say, because some of the things she said, have effected me through my life. I hope she comes again, so she can talk more about friendships. We love you Attitude!

The Doll's House and King Street Bridge Review

Hi, my name is Caleb. In this text, I will tell you about what happens in the two texts, and and compare it to the modern day, where things have changed a lot.

In the text, The Doll’s House, the problem is that kids and their parents judge people on how much status they have. For example, in The Doll’s House, all the other kids exclude the Little Kelvey's because there status is low. There mum is poor, and they wear the clothes that their mum gets that other families don’t want. There dad is also missing, and some people think he is in jail. Because of all this, the other kids act like they don’t exist because of something they can’t control.

In the text, King Street Bridge, the problem is that some kids aren’t getting enough attention, so they are bullying someone else to get attention. For example, in King Street Bridge, Rebecca and Lyza bully a girl called Hera, who I presume is not to popular so they get all the attention. The way they bully her is by following her on the way home, and then scaring her. I think they are doing this because they don’t get enough attention at home.

Now, if I compared both of these to the modern day, there is a huge difference, first of all, people don’t care about each others status, and instead focus on people being kind. For example, a kid who is really kind, will most likely have a lot of friends, where as people who are naughty, won’t have very many friends. Another thing is bullying. There is still a lot of bullying, but it is now easier to control it, because there are always teachers around.

That is all I have to say. If you enjoyed, then please leave a comment on your thoughts. Until next time, see ya!

What my class thinks about me

Hello, and welcome to my blog. In this blog post, I will tell you about what we did today with the paper in the photo above. Today, my teacher, Mrs Stone, told us to choose a colored pencil and paper. At first I didn't know why we had to do that, but after we all had a pencil and paper, Mrs Stone told us we had to pass our paper around, and the person next to us would write something nice about us. For example, I was sitting next to Leonidas and Kohatu. When Mrs Stone said to start, Kohatu passed his paper to me, I passed my paper to Leonidas, and Leonidas passed his paper to someone else. My paper got passed through about 30 people, and this is what it ended up like.
