2019 Term 3 Highlights

This term has been the most interesting term this year. There has been so much going on, so in this blog, I am going to tell you all my term highlights.

One awesome thing has been making our maniakalani movie. It was really fun making them, especially since next term, I am going to see them all at film festival. Our Class movie was more fun doing, but our Extension one had more detail, and had a better story.

Another really cool thing was watching the School Production. The actors have been on this show since about week 4. I watched the Production on Wednesday, but we also saw it today at school. The show was awesome, and I wish I was part of it.

Finally, my favorite highlight was me winning Cross Country. I didn't write about it, because I was busy, but I did. It was an amazing moment. And I couldn't have done it without my Dad, who supported me the whole time.

Those are my top highlights. This term has been awesome, and I hope that next term, I have as much fun. I might post in the holidays, but if I don't, see you next term!

St. Patrick's Day

Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most celebrated festivals in the world, as it is a day where people can come together, and bond with others. This essay will explain what happens during this event, why we celebrate it, and how many people celebrate it.

On St. Patrick’s Day, People come together to celebrate Patrick’s death. They wear green shirts, which they think will make them invisible from leprechauns that pinch people they see. They all come to a chosen spot, and thousand of people bond together to celebrate their hero.

The reason people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is to celebrate a man called Patrick, who died around 462 AD. He was the main person who supported making Christianity a thing in Ireland. After he died, people loved him for what he did, and in 1762, they stared a festival about him.

In 2018, 149 Million people in the US celebrated St. Patrick’s day. That’s almost half the whole country’s population. Some other countries includes UK, Brazil, Canada, Argentina, Australia, and NZ. There are more than 400 landmarks in more than 50 countries. That’s about 900 Million people who celebrate this extraordinary event.

Out of all the awesome events, St. Patrick’s Day has got to be one of the most famous of them all. Now you should have a better understanding of St. Patrick’s Day. From his origin, to how many people celebrate him, this is my essay about the great Patrick.

Co-Education

Do you think you would do better at a school with only your gender? This essay will explain why people in Co Education schools will have a better go at life. This is because people need to socialize with the opposite gender, there is too much drama with a single gender, and you get different perspectives in learning.

Co-Ed schools are better because people need to socialize with the opposite gender. If people are only in the same school with the same gender, then later in life, they won’t know how to deal with girls. School gives you a better opportunity to get along with people who are a different race or gender, and stop dramas that might occur with only 1 gender.

Another reason Co-Ed schools are better is that they stop lots of only Boy/Girl related dramas. For example, girls know how to handle their dramas in a non-violent way, unlike most boys. If only a single gender was at a school, then there could be lots of dramas that might get worse if there is only 1 type of gender around.

The last reason is that people learn from different perspectives. If people only learn from 1 perspective, then they will have a very hard time with their future. If children go to Co-Ed schools, however, they will learn how different people, either boys or girls, learn and handle their work. It might not be better than yours, but at least your ready.

So know you have a few reasons why children who go to Co-Ed school will do better than going to a single sex school. This should now give you a better understanding of what is great about Co-Ed schools.

How to be a good Kid

Do you think you are a good son or daughter? Do you want to do more for your parents, but you don’t know if your doing enough? This essay will tell you how to be Helpful, Grateful, and Respectful of your parents.

One way to be a good kid is by being helpful. For example, you could just help your parents with the dishes without them asking you to. If you do this, your parents will be really happy and very grateful.

Another way to be a good kid is to be grateful. Being grateful is being happy with whatever you get, no matter what they have for you. You don’t need everything you want, so if you accept that you may not get what you want all the time, then that is a very respectful thing to do, which I'm sure your parents will be happy about.

The final way to be a good kid is to be respectful. Being respectful is respecting what your parents do for you. If you were respectful, like thanking your parents in front of a whole lot of people, you would have made your family proud.

To be a good son, you need to be Helpful, Grateful, and Respectful. This will show that you really care about your parents.
