Dragon's Eye Lake Myth Poster
In this task, I had to create a Poster for my 5th and final Myth/Legend Rotation (even though there are 6 because I missed one because I had another class), Dragon's Eye Lake. This was really fun making, and this was one of my favorite rotation classes.

Were Back for Term 3!
Today was the first day back at School. After having our usual Team 5 talk, we headed to Assembly, to prepare for the Term Ahead. After the whole School made it, the Assembly started.
The topic for this Term is "A World of Difference". The thing that interested me most is that we will be learning about Myths and Legends. The reason I am so interested is because learning them will teach me more about the Maori ways.

Whats NOT My Taha?
Whats NOT My Taha?
The Taha I connect with worst is Te Taha Hinengaro. No matter what I say, I still connect to this great. Saying that, the reason I connect worst with this one is because I can be silly at times. OK, I don't do horrible things, and I don't say horrible things, but I am just silly, which sometimes makes me radical and a bit angry.
That is why this is my worst Taha.

The Taha I connect best with is Taha Tinana. There are many reasons why, but the first one is because I do heaps of sports. I love sports, and I am really fit, so that's the first reason. The second reason is because I am really Healthy. I eat a balanced diet, and have kept happy the whole time.

Te Whare Tapa Wha
They all started from the one,
Then four joined, so it begun
One for Identity, and one for Sport
One for Health, and one for Support
They help you to be a star
Together they form Te Whare Tapa Wha

Te Whare Tapa Wha
Walt: Understand the four sides of Te Whare Tapa Wha
Task Description
Hi, my name is Caleb, and welcome to my blog. For the last 5 weeks, we have been looking at Te Whare Tapa Wha. Te Whare Tapa Wha is a well-known Māori model of health that has been used across a huge number of areas (for example, Health, Education, and Justice). Te Whare Tapa Wha compares health to the four walls of a house where all four walls are necessary to ensure strength and symmetry.

Career Talk
Today, a few people came to see us and to talk to us about what they did to get there job, and help us get our own job. First, a man called James came and talked to us about his career. He told us that even though he didn't go to University, he still got his dream job, which was to be a builder.
After we had stopped asking him questions about his career, he left to go to work, and a worker called Fiona came up and talked to us. Fiona is Mrs Tele'a's sister, and she is a funeral director. She said that if you want to spend time with your family, don't be a funeral director.
After we asked her about her career, she sat down, and Tanielu Tele'a came up to talk. Tanielu is Mrs Tele'a's son, and he is a rugby player who plays for the blues. We had loads of questions for Tanielu, but finally after all the questions were answered, he sat down, and we clapped at James, Fiona, and Tanielu. I think this was very interesting, seeing different people, and what they did.
Until next time, see ya!!!!!

Polyfest Reflection 2019
Have you ever heard of, or been to polyfest? Polyfest is a famous cultural event in NZ that is on for 4 days every year, and has been going on for 44 years. Polyfest offers a range of activities, performances, food stalls, and more.
Polyfest schools day is on the first day of polyfest, and let's schools come in and see performances. It also lets them do stuff like dance with people, and learn about things like fire safety. There are also a variety of stands and shops that have food and toys in them.`
Some of my highlights of polyfest were the Kapa Haka, which was amazing and was one of the only shows that we saw. Another highlight was playing all the games like Big Connect 4, Big Knorts and Crosses, and throw the ball in the bucket, we spent up to 20-30 minutes of our free time there.
Overall, polyfest is amazing and I definitely want to go there again.
