My Final Immersion Assembly

 On Monday, I went to my final Immersion Assembly, at Pt England School, EVER……

When I came to School for the first time for term 4, I was not looking forward to it. I got class, said hi to my Teachers and Friends, and then got ready for the Assembly. We got to Assembly, and I started talking to my friends. And just before the Assembly started, I realized that I had been made a Prefect! I bolted to the front, got myself organized, and Assembly started.

For Team 1, they drew Portraits of themselves using different styles of art. For Team 2, Ms Gaston drew the other teachers faces using different tools. For Team 3, the teachers sprayed a big piece of something (idk what it is) with water blasters. For Team 4, they had a google meet planning what they were going to do for this term. And for Team 5, they showed us a collection of different artifacts (the teacher). After that, we went back to class, and we started off the term.

Task Description
Hi, my name is Caleb, and welcome to this post. In this task, I do my third story, which is a Legend, with Mrs Moala. It is about a giant called Paul Bunyan and his Ox called Babe. Sorry I couldn't do more, but I didn't have enough time.

Were Back for Term 3!

Today was the first day back at School. After having our usual Team 5 talk, we headed to Assembly, to prepare for the Term Ahead. After the whole School made it, the Assembly started.

The topic for this Term is "A World of Difference". The thing that interested me most is that we will be learning about Myths and Legends. The reason I am so interested is because learning them will teach me more about the Maori ways.

Task Description
Hi, my name is Caleb, and in this task, I do another Te Reo Maori class, this one being about the Maori greetings.

Year 7 Team Building

Hi, my name is Caleb, and in this post, I will tell you about the Team Building for Year 7's. We did this because the Year 8's were at camp, and the teachers wanted us to have almost as much fun as the Year 8's.

One of the cool activities we did was to make Truffles. Truffles are like small chocolate balls covered in pieces of dry coconut. We first added biscuits, then we added cocoa, and then we added coconut. After we added them in, we mix them all together, which made a big piece of chocolate with biscuits and coconut sticking out. It had the texture of mud. Add then we did the gross thing, we picked up chunks of the chocolate, and started mixing them into balls. After we had used the whole bowl, and made dozens of chocolate balls, we added coconut to them, which made them Truffles. A few days later, we ate the Truffles.

Another cool thing we did was puzzles with Mrs Moala. The first puzzle we did was a murder mystery. We found out that the man died by a cobra at a party. Then we did another murder mystery, in which we had to find out who killed a woman called Edith. We found out that Edward Green killed her. We then did a puzzle where we had to find the answer of tricky words. One of the words was Big Big
                                                                                                                                             
                                                                                                                                       Ignore Ignore, and we found out that that meant to big to ignore. Then we went and did another activity.

Overall, I thought that the Team Building was great. In the Team Building, the main thing I learnt was that it is better, and funner, to work as a team.

Polyfest Reflection 2019

Have you ever heard of, or been to polyfest? Polyfest is a famous cultural event in NZ that is on for 4 days every year, and has been going on for 44 years. Polyfest offers a range of activities, performances, food stalls, and more.

Polyfest schools day is on the first day of polyfest, and let's schools come in and see performances. It also lets them do stuff like dance with people, and learn about things like fire safety. There are also a variety of stands and shops that have food and toys in them.`

Some of my highlights of polyfest were the Kapa Haka, which was amazing and was one of the only shows that we saw. Another highlight was playing all the games like Big Connect 4, Big Knorts and Crosses, and throw the ball in the bucket, we spent up to 20-30 minutes of our free time there.

Overall, polyfest is amazing and I definitely want to go there again.
