Task Description

Hi, my name is Caleb, and welcome to this post. In this task this week, I learnt about the Maori word for time.

My Final Immersion Assembly

 On Monday, I went to my final Immersion Assembly, at Pt England School, EVER……

When I came to School for the first time for term 4, I was not looking forward to it. I got class, said hi to my Teachers and Friends, and then got ready for the Assembly. We got to Assembly, and I started talking to my friends. And just before the Assembly started, I realized that I had been made a Prefect! I bolted to the front, got myself organized, and Assembly started.

For Team 1, they drew Portraits of themselves using different styles of art. For Team 2, Ms Gaston drew the other teachers faces using different tools. For Team 3, the teachers sprayed a big piece of something (idk what it is) with water blasters. For Team 4, they had a google meet planning what they were going to do for this term. And for Team 5, they showed us a collection of different artifacts (the teacher). After that, we went back to class, and we started off the term.

Ancient Jewellery Makers

Task Description
In this activity, me, Zaeeda, and Amira learnt about ancient jewellery and jewellery tactics. This is out groups extension research for term 4, 2018. This term's topic is Te Wai Toi, which means Art time in Maori. Hope you find this interesting!

Cave Art Animation

Hello my name is Caleb and this is my cave art animation. 

Long ago there lived a small tribe. One day while the tribe were siting down and talking, a giant, prehistoric rhino came and attacked their village. One of the tribe members scared the rhino of, however, the rhino killed one of there tribe members. The rest of the tribe chased the rhino until they found a bush. They decided to sit at a bush to rest. However, they didn't know that the rhino was hiding in the bush, and it jumped out and killed another member of the tribe, sending his body flying in the air. 

The huge beast chased after one of the members who was running away. The others tried to save them, however, the body of the dead tribe member came down and fell on them, severely injuring them. There was only one tribe member left, and the rhino had cornered him. With one final hope, the member threw his spear, and hit the rhino in the eye just before it got him. The animal then fell down hole, never to be seen again.

2018 Term 4 about this term

Walt: use correct sentences to help structure our writing

The holidays have ended, and term 4 has begun. This terms topic is called Te wa toi, and that means doing art, crafting, and other stuff like that. Read on to learn what’s on this term, my goals, and more.

This term is really exciting because there are plenty of things on this term. I love doing lots, especially since some of the activity are athletics. Some of the things that are on this term that i’m excited for include The Manaiakalani Film Festival, Athletics day, and Prize Giving, and those aren’t even half the things we’re doing.

There are two goals that I really want to achieve this term. One of those goals is to be presenter for either my extension film festival movie, or my class film festival movie. My other goal is to be a leader at Year 6 camp.

This term I am hoping to learn about different ways to draw pictures and color things in. I also want to learn how to sketch. Another thing I want to learn about how to draw japanese art. I also want to learn about what life was like 200 or more years ago. The thing I want to learn most about is famous artists and know why they are so famous. The other thing I want to learn is to learn about pacific artifacts and items.

I am super excited for this term. There is a lot on this term including The Manaiakalani film festival and Prize giving, I have two goals that I am sure might happen, and I want to learn about how to do Japanese art. Overall I am really excited to blog post about all the things that we will be doing this term.
