2019 Extension Highlights

This year, we have been doing a lot for extension. I have had a really fun year, and in this post, I will share some of my Highlights for the year.

Term 1: This term, we went to KPMG, which is a company which I loved. They were really kind, and I felt that they actually cared about us. We also did work on the treaty of waitangi, and we even did our own game design.

Term 2: This term, we did lots of work on robotics and devices. One day, we even got to code robots, and play Minecraft! We also went to KPMG, which I still think was the most active time.

Term 3: This term, we also went to KPMG, where I think I learnt the most. We also made our Film Festival movie.

Term 4: We of course went to KPMG. We also did work on UV lights, and we even made our own ones.

Those have been my highlights for this year. I hope you found this informative, and until next time, see ya!

The G.O.A.T of Chess

The Good things about being the best in the world at chess are:

1. You will become famous all around the world, and you might even become rich

2. You will be the best at something (for this, at chess)

3. You will probably represent your family

The Bad things about being the best in the world at chess are:

1. You will not be able to spend much time with your family

2. You will not be able to relax much

3. After you stop playing chess, people will forget about you

Who Dunnit?

Who Dunnit?

In room 4, we are investigating into a crime. Somebody was trying to steal something, and while they were leaving, they cut themselves while jumping through a window. We found some of their bloody clothing, and we started our work on the crime. Using CCTV footage, we narrowed it down to four people.  We still haven't found out what they stole. Then we started our work on who's blood it was.

First off, we put some water on the bloody cloth. Then, we put that on the slide, and then put the slide under a microscope. On the first scope, we could see a pattern of red and a hairy substance. Then, when we tried the second scope, we saw what we saw on the second scope, but bigger. We couldn't see it on the third scope, so we tried to see how the blood reacted.

First, we put Anti-A, Anti-B, and Anti-RH, against their chosen blood. They all reacted differently, put due to research, we figured out that the robbers, blood was A+. We checked through all the suspects, but we figured out that the robber was Suspect 3.
